Liz Olson

Robotics PhD Candidate - University of Michigan

I’m a graduate student in Robotics at the University of Michigan, advised by Professor Chad Jenkins in the Laboratory for Progress. I am interested in improving the reliability and diagnosability of vision-based autonomous systems. My focus has been on modeling disbelief and ambiguity within probabilistic frameworks, so the future of robotics is more reliable and interpretable. I have experience in using synthetic and unsupervised data to make data-driven perception systems more generalizable.
